Trellix Trademarks

Introduction

The “TRELLIX Trademarks” referred to below are the word marks that identify TRELLIX as the source of a product or service. For example, the name and trademark TRELLIX®, and the trademarks Skyhigh Networks™, ePolicy Orchestrator™ and others are important intellectual property assets belonging to Musarubra US LLC and/or their affiliates (“Trellix”), and are the means by which our customers know that they are buying or using genuine TRELLIX branded products and services. You may only use the TRELLIX Trademarks with express permission and any authorized use of the TRELLIX Trademarks must be done in accordance with the guidelines below (the “Trademark Guidelines”) or pursuant to separate agreement with us.  

We have established these guidelines to encourage the accurate use of the TRELLIX Trademarks, where allowed, and to ensure that our trademarks maintain their distinctiveness and strength as reliable indicators of the source and quality of our products and services.

Trademark Guidelines

These guidelines cover the following non-exhaustive list of our trademarks which may be used as provided herein to refer to our products or services.

  • TRELLIX®
  • Skyhigh Networks™
  • ePolicy Orchestrator™
  • Trellix Wise™

Other names and brands that appear on the Trellix website may be claimed as the property of Trellix or others.

Permissible Use

All permission we grant you to use the TRELLIX Trademarks require that you specify that the TRELLIX Trademarks belong to Trellix (as described in the Attribution Language section below). Trellix can modify or revoke at any time, in its sole discretion, any permission or license we grant you to use our trademarks.

You may generally refer to our products and services by their associated trademarks and service marks, so long as:

  • the TRELLIX Trademarks are used exactly as shown (without modification) followed by generic or descriptive term for the Trellix product or service following the trademark (e.g. “TRELLIX® security platform”).
  • you always use the TRELLIX Trademarks in a way that does not mislead anyone, directly or by omission, about exactly what they are getting and from whom – all use must be truthful, fair, and not misleading; and
  • you use only the minimum amount of the trademark as necessary to identify Trellix as the source of the product and service.

Attribution Language: Where you have been granted permission to use the TRELLIX Trademarks, you must always include the below attribution language or other attribution language that has been provided to you by Trellix such as the following for the respective mark being used:

"*TRELLIX and the TRELLIX logo are trademarks of Musarubra US LLC or its affiliates, and are used here with permission.*"

Use of trademark symbols: The first or most prominent mention of a TRELLIX Trademark on a webpage, document, packaging, or documentation should be accompanied by the appropriate symbol indicating whether the mark is a registered trademark (“®”) or an unregistered trademark (“™”) as indicated in the list above.

Prohibited Use

You may not use the TRELLIX Trademarks in a way that would likely cause confusion about the origin of the product or service or that could dilute the TRELLIX Trademarks. To avoid such issues, do not undertake any of the following activities:

  • Incorporate any of the TRELLIX Trademarks into your own product names, service names, trademarks, logos, or company names;
  • Adopt marks or logos that are likely to cause confusion with any of the TRELLIX Trademarks, including but not limited to obvious variations, abbreviations, misspellings, or foreign language equivalents;
  • Use any name, mark, or logo in connection with your goods or services in a manner that suggests Trellix is the source of, or otherwise approves of or is connected with, your goods or services;
  • Make unlicensed use of Trellix’s licensed logos. Third-party use of TRELLIX logos requires a license or written permission from Trellix; or
  • Use TRELLIX Trademarks in your internet domain name (and/or register or use any domain name that incorporates any of the TRELLIX Trademarks or company name).

You may not use any TRELLIX Trademarks in a manner that implies our endorsement or approval of your products or services without our specific written permission. The goodwill derived from using the TRELLIX Trademarks exclusively belongs to and inures to the benefit of Trellix.
