What is NIS 2?
The EU Network and Information Security Directive 2 (NIS 2) is designed to increase cybersecurity and resilience across the EU. Organizations must implement a wide range of risk management approaches and policies.
NIS 2 does not mandate the use of specific security controls - it requires organizations to continuously assess and document their security controls and processes. NIS 2 comes into force across the EU in 2025.
