Stephen Fallas

Field Chief Technology Officer, Americas

Stephen Fallas has over 33 years of information technology experience, specializing in information security for over 27 years. Today, he is the Field CTO for Trellix in the Americas region. Their projects include the analysis, design, and implementation of computer science security architecture (on-prem, virtual and cloud), incident response processes, disaster recovery plans, business impact analysis, and assessments across different industries (commercial, healthcare, financial, manufacturing, government, retail, military and critical infrastructure SCADA).

A few of their achievement include developing and implementing the Security Operation Center at ITS Info-Communication in San Jose, Costa Rica in 2004. He created the regional computer science security seminar, “Beyond the Password,” in San Jose, Costa Rica in 2002, 2003, and 2005, and in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2004. He has been recognized with several awards, such as: Club Excellence, Top SE Performance, Number one Security System Engineer in the Americas from IBM, Presidents Clubs, Archiver, SE Transitions and Leadership Development Program (2015), and others. From 2016 to 2019, he drove the Cisco TALOS Threat Intelligence LATAM experience and in 2018, he created the LATAM CISO Summit run in the Americas. He has been part of the Cybersecurity Council with OAS in LATAM and a member of the Digi Americas Alliance. He is an ISACA international speaker for the Latin America conference (2023 - 2025), Interpol workshops in Brazil (2024), COM Americas for military force (2025), and a Distinguished Speaker at Cisco Live (2017-2019).

He has executed numerous initiatives in the region, including Cybersecurity Compliance, Threat Hunting, Customer Experience, Cyber Defense Clinics, Incident Response Experience, Security Architecture Reviews, and collaboration on Partner Summit content and customer experiences. He holds the following global industry certifications: CDPSE, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, CRISC, GPCI, GICSP, BS7799. He has been part of organizations such as: Internet Security Systems, IBM, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Security, Sourcefire, Cisco Systems, FireEye and Trellix.
