Ken Kartsen

Senior Vice President of Public Sector

Ken Kartsen is Senior Vice President of Public Sector for Trellix. In this position, he oversees the sales and operations for the company’s largest theatre and verticals inclusive of Federal, State, Local Government, Higher Education, and Healthcare. Ken additionally has sales and operations responsibility for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and National Service Providers routes to market.

Ken has been responsible for Public Sector sales at leading technology companies for over 20 years, primarily in the security industry. His prior experiences include leadership positions with Palo Alto Networks and IBM. He has successfully led double digit growth through business development and sales efforts within several Public Sector entities, including the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as the Intelligence Community.

Ken joined Trellix (formerly McAfee) in 2011 as Vice President of Federal and now oversees all Public Sector. In 2019 Ken was honored with The StateScoop 50 Industry Leader Award. He was also honored with the FedScoop Industry Leadership Awards in 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2021 for his management of McAfee’s role in programs such as Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) and Department of Defense’s modernization of security capabilities. Ken serves on the McAfee Public Sector Board of Directors, Ecosystems Board of Advisors, Information Technology Industry Board of Directors, and various other Public Sector Advisory Boards. Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clemson University and graduated with honors.
