Trellix Earns Top Marks for Data Security in the CRN Annual Report Card

I’m excited to share that Trellix has earned a 2026 CRN® Annual Report Card (ARC) Award in Data Security from CRN, a brand of The Channel Company. The ARC Awards spotlight the technology vendors providing best-in-class products and solution provider partnership throughout the IT channel ecosystem.

Among the IT channel's most respected honors, the CRN Annual Report Card (ARC) Awards recognize technology vendors that excel in supporting and empowering their partner communities. Award winners are chosen based on direct feedback from solution providers, who evaluate vendors on the strength of their channel programs, partner experience, product innovation, and commitment to building successful, long-term partnerships.

CRN defines data security for a category as a comprehensive set of functions designed to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, breaches, and misuse. Core functions include data encryption, controlling data access and protecting databases, and real-time DLP monitoring to detect and respond to unusual activity via responses that range from warning and coaching to blocking and reporting. Continuous data discovery and classification are also critical for managing governance requirements.

Shielding sensitive data with AI-native data security

The rapid adoption of generative AI (GenAI) and large language models (LLMs) has introduced significant risks to data security, such as the potential for sensitive and private data to be leaked into public AI tools or improperly accessed. In April 2026, Trellix introduced a new AI Data Risk Dashboard within DLP to monitor and redact sensitive information, and avoid SQL injection attacks within AI prompts and responses. Trellix was honored in the 2026 Annual Report Card across a number categories, including:

• Industry Recognition: Trellix was named the winner in the "Security—Data Security" category, achieving an overall score of 88.5.
• High-performance Metrics: Within the data security category, Trellix achieved exceptional scores for product quality and reliability (99.0) and richness of product features and functionality (96.7).
• Partnership and Support: Trellix maintains strong industry relations, recording a 91.4 score for partnership and an 88.5 score for support.
• Partner Enablement: Trellix offers the Trellix Xtend partner program which covers everything from resellers to professional services.

It also includes managed security integrators, a service that features a tiered system (platinum, gold, and silver) to provide specialized incentives and training for partners in areas such as data security.
