Mark Bereza is a vulnerability researcher for Trellix’s Threat Labs, having started his offensive security journey over three years ago at McAfee. Although Mark doesn’t shy away from any of the facets of the vulnerability research process, his strengths lie primarily in static analysis, reverse engineering, and post-exploitation. Mark is at his most comfortable when analyzing embedded systems, and his research targets have included ICS products, IoT devices, and even a robotics platform. Ukrainian by birth, Mark likes to honor his roots by donning his trademark tracksuit at speaking events, a tradition that began with his mainstage talk at DEF CON 27 - less than a year after graduating from Oregon State University.
